Under the Rug Theatre are BUZZIN’ to announce our second scratch night event: CUTTIN’ A RUG 2 🕺
We are accepting applications from now until the 13th of November, so click that link and and send us your submissions!
We are open to any and all artists who identify themselves as emerging and are based in Scotland. However, as the event will be held in Glasgow, all applicants must be able to be in Glasgow for the event on DECEMBER 10TH.
Unfortunately, Under the Rug Theatre currently doesn’t have a travel budget available for this project.
This will be a fun and exciting event with a drinks & networking reception held in the space afterwards 🪩.
Introducing DUSTBUNNIES – a new Under the Rug workshop series for playwrights to develop work with a room of experienced theatre creatives.
If you have a draft that's collecting dust, or if you need an experimental space to take your script to the next level, we want to help you get your ideas out from under the rug and onto their feet!
Each successful candidate will have an evening dedicated to their script, with the chance to get feedback from an audience on the day.

This was an opportunity for artists in the first stages of their development to present their new, bold and entertaining ideas in-front of a live audience!
